We trust you are all well and safe. Please take note of the following:
After analyzing our academic results of the first term we have realized that the two year Covid interruption has caused damage to learner performance as anticipated. After several discussions with the School Governing Body and School Management team, a decision was taken to assist our learners to improve academic performance. Thus the following arrangements had to be put in place.
Change of School Hours from 3 May 2022
Grade 1 – 7h30 – 13h30 Monday – Thursday (Extended school hours 13:00 to 13:30)
Grade 2 – 7h30 – 13h30 Monday – Thursday (Extended school hours 13:00 to 13:30)
Grade 3 – 7h30 – 14h00 Monday – Thursday (Extended school hours 13:30 to 14:00)
Grade 4-7 – 7h30 – 14h30 Monday – Thursday (Extended school hours 14:00 to 14:30)
Grade 1-7 – 07h30 – 13h00 Friday
INTERVENTION PROGRAM to improve learner’s academic performance.
Foundation Phase
Gr 1 to 3: – Class teachers will use the extra two (2) hours per week for intervention on the major subjects: (English, Afrikaans and Mathematics)
Intersen Phase
Gr 4 to 7: Extra session will be at the start of the day for all learners.
Extra time – 2,5 hours per week – will be used for the 3 major subjects
(English, Afrikaans and Mathematics) and Natural Sciences with the specialist teachers rotating to the classes.
Other subjects (Social sciences and Life skills) will do intervention in the normal class time allocated to the subject.
Normal extra classes from 14:30-15:00 for learners who failed the subjects during the First term.
