I reflect on the past few years with pride in what we as a Brandwag family was able to accomplish. For this I want to thank the SGB (for their effective governance), my SMT (who skillfully assists me in the management of the school), our Circuit Manager Mr Mokati (for the guidance I receive from him), my competent staff (in all divisions), every learner who attends our school with good manners and values and our Father in heaven for His daily blessings.
Our school was blessed to excel academically with all the grades reaching the targets we have set. This is the result of hard work in the class and we are very satisfied with the results. We are proud of the majority of our learners who achieved their goals and trust that those who need to put in more effort into their schoolwork and have better discipline in class, will change their ways to create an even better learning environment at our school.
On extra mural level, we have achieved exceptional results. Through the years many learners have represented our school on provincial, national and international level in such items as Drum majorettes, Rugby, Athletics, Dancing and Karate. Several learners and groups also achieved excellent results on local level including our Revue, B-wag dance group and Eisteddfod. We congratulate these learners who are true ambassadors of our school.
Our school is in high demand, as can be seen in the number of applicants to our school each year. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate all applications but try and assist where possible. Preliminary numbers show that we will house more than 1 500 learners which brings us to the limit of our capacity.
In recent years our infrastructure has expanded extensively with the building of our new office block, staff room, ablution facilities and classrooms. We are also continuously expanding our IT department to assist teachers and learners in having a more modern teaching and learning experience.
Our condolences to the families of staff, learners and parents who have lost loved ones. May you find comfort in our Holy Father in this difficult time.
Congratulations to each learner who experienced success, whether it was personal, in your schoolwork or extra murals. You are all champions!
Thank you, to the learners of Brandwag Primary, for every hug, greeting and smile. You are the reason for my being and getting up every morning.
Always keep our school’s motto “Ready for Duty” as your guide in life. Follow your dreams and let the following core values be part of your life: be respectful, trustworthy, caring, responsible, honest, and a good citizen in South Africa.
In conclusion, it is really a heartfelt need to give praise to our Heavenly Father for His mercy and for blessing our school, learners, and staff with the talents to achieve so greatly in various activities.
